Matthew is a broadly trained general surgeon with subspecialty experience overseas in liver, pancreas, biliary (HPB), upper gastrointestinal (UGI) and robotic surgery. He has also trained in abdominal (liver and kidney) transplant and vascular access surgery. In addition to this, Matthew has spent dedicated time working in thoracic and vascular surgery and also works as a Consultant General Surgeon at Middlemore Hospital in HPB, UGI and Vascular surgery.
He provides expert care for the breath of general surgery and within the subspecialty of HPB and UGI surgery. He can also offer minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic options.
